Cheaper Than Shipping

While doing some Christmas shopping, I found an item that was perfect for a friend of mine. The only problem was that it was heavy and fragile and I didn't want to pay outrageous shipping fees...she lives in Minnesota.
Anyway, I was able to find a store near her and reserve the same item in that store so she could just pick it up. Instead of calling her and telling her about it, I just made a fun little "invitation", so to speak, announcing the where-abouts of her gift.

Assignment: MOM

What was fun about this one (besides it being for my parents) was the fact that my mom wasn't sure she even wanted to send Christmas cards...until she saw this. Like me, she had looked around at all the pre-made options, but none fit her needs. So, she told me which 3 pictures she wanted to use and let me take a shot at it.
My mom has a distinct style and I wanted it to come through in the cards. Apparently, I did a really great job. Thanks, Mom!

Christmas Card-er Than I Thought

I was recently asked to design a Christmas card for a business. "Sure!" I thought, yet when I went to tackle it, I found it a little confounding to come up with something I've never seen before. Let's face it: Christmas card sales could feed a small country because there is a style for everyone...almost literally. And it was a very big deal to me to make the card unique so my client didn't feel as if she should've just run to the nearest stationery boutique.

Anyway, it took me a while to feel successful, but I do...

Photo Christmas Card

Since the end of my year gets busier and busier, I try to do things as early as I can and still get away with it. I started browsing some of this year's photo Christmas cards that several places offer and liked some, but didn't love any. So, I decided to make a layout of my own.

Weddings & Invitations

The following is a collection of invitations and announcements. Some of the wedding invitations are followed by the corresponding rsvp and/or information cards.

The groom was a baseball player, thus the invitation was in the form of an enlarged ticket. The rsvp card tore-away like a ticket stub.

This invitation is a top-fold. The cover has identical leaves that meet the opaque edges peeking from beneath the semi-transparent box. The bride & groom's names are visible whether open or closed.
